Marketing List criteria

Unless I am doing something wrong, the marketing list criteria is not saved under a marketing campaign. If I want to rerun a campaign, when I open it up and click on 'Edit Marketing List', the last marketing list criteria is shown, not the one used in the campaign that is opened.
